About Dr. Wendy González

Just like a diamond, people and organizations have many facets and hidden potential. Every successful leader was once a diamond in the rough who chose to polish their potential. I believe leadership is the ongoing practice of refining brilliance in ourselves, in others, in our teams, and across our organizations, all in pursuit of diamond‑level excellence.

My career spans more than three decades as a teacher, school and district leader, superintendent, consultant, and executive coach. I’ve led complex systems, strengthened organizational coherence, elevated instructional quality, and built cultures where people feel valued, supported, and equipped to excel. My work has included guiding districtwide transformation, raising student achievement, improving organizational performance, and coaching leaders at every level to rise with clarity and confidence. The logo, the diamond apple, reflects this philosophy: potential shaped under pressure, refined through intention, and polished into excellence.

I believe that leadership is not a position; it is a responsibility. We are all leaders in our homes, our communities, our classrooms, and our organizations. With leadership comes the call to continually polish our own potential and that of those around us. And just as adults deserve opportunities to shine, students must be able to realize their fullest potential as well. They deserve robust, rigorous, and relevant learning experiences within orderly, safe, and equitable environments supported by caring adults who help them shine. It is the responsibility of leadership in classrooms, schools, and districts to ensure these environments excel so that students can thrive, not just survive.

I earned my executive coaching certification in Leadership Coaching for Organizational Performance, an International Coaching Federation–accredited program, from American University. I earned my doctorate in Educational Administration and Policy Studies from The George Washington University. My doctoral research focused on school administrators’ preparation to use data, for which I was awarded the Robert Kottkamp Outstanding Dissertation Award from the American Educational Research Association. I also earned my master’s degree from The George Washington University in Education and Human Development in Educational Leadership and Administration. I earned my bachelor’s degree from James Madison University, where I was awarded Outstanding Student of the Year in Secondary Education.

Through Executive Leadership Coaching, I help leaders sharpen their identity, strengthen confidence, elevate communication, and lead with alignment, decisiveness, and impact. Through Organizational Consulting, I support systems‑level strategy, culture building, team coherence, and the development of high‑performing organizations capable of achieving diamond‑level excellence.

When leaders polish potential, brilliance emerges in individuals, in teams, and across entire organizations because diamond‑level excellence is only possible through diamond‑level leadership.

Your potential is already brilliant. Let’s polish it.
